Unlike the bustling Jiufen, Jinguashi seems simple and quiet.

We may see the life of this mining town from the movie "A City of sadness", which was directed by Hou- Hsiao-Hsien. In the movie, the scene of Wen-Chin's (Tony Leung) photography studio and the scene of hospital were in Jinguashi, while the scene of 'Little Shanghai' restaurant was in Jioufen.

Our pension,U-zin-hang,is just below Wen-Ching's (Tony Leung) photography studio, and is located in the old street of Jinguashi, which still preserve its past glory.
